As a committee member and chair for the ASTD ALC Planning Committee, I had exceptional opportunity to partner directly with Dennis in his preparation for the conference, two years in a row.
The way he took additional time to set up prep sessions to ensure that his message was aligned with the conference theme and objectives, as well as the learning needs of ASTD chapter leaders, made him stand apart from his counterparts, who typically will just come in to deliver their off-the-shelf content.
I know that "authenticity" can sometimes be an overused descriptor, but Dennis lives and breathes his content in everything he does.
As well, Mr. Reina does not "speak" when he leads a keynote, but instead facilitates a series of deep discussions that encourage learners to explore their own successes and misgivings in the area of trust, both in their professional and personal lives.
I recommend Dennis without hesitation. if trust is a focus area for your organization, you will find none better in the marketplace for your learners.

Bio
PhD and Worldwide Authority on Building and Rebuilding Trust in Organizations, Dennis has a gift for making the complex dynamics of trust simple, and for bringing them to life in a manner that is easy to understand and apply. Drawing upon his own life experiences, such as wilderness treks and two battles with cancer, Dennis brings an uncommon combination of perspective, passion and academic rigor to the topic of trust.
From this multidimensional foundation, Dennis masterfully engages audiences experientially in Trust Building. He regularly consults, speaks, trains and coaches leaders and their people in organizations across the continent and around the world.

I had the pleasure of participating in Dennis' workshop on building trust at the ASTD Chapter Leaders Conference in Arlington, VA last month. And I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. Dennis is a gifted facilitator. He effortlessly can bring a diverse group together and get them pushing themselves into the unknown in the pursuit of developing their skills. Dennis is also, hands-down, the most competent speaker on building trust that I have ever encountered. But what I appreciate most about Dennis is his seemingly effortless ability to get people to turn within and get real about their own "stuff" - beliefs, thinking patterns, fears and relationships. And then, without you knowing it, he is able to seamlessly transition and show you how to translate your personal discoveries into concrete behaviors and real-world applications. I recommend Dennis unequivocally for any company, conference, college or community group who wants an inspirational speaker who also shows you how to apply your learning after he leaves the room.

I participated in a Leadership Forum in which Dennis and Michelle Reina were featured speakers on developing “Trusting Partnerships”. Their presentation was very well received resulting in excellent audience participation. Prior to the presentation, they spent time learning about the audience and were able to connect to the needs and interests of the attendees. They spoke from the heart and used their personal and professionally lived experience to clearly communicate their points. It was clear that they are experts in their field with a body of solid research to back their tools and advice. In the end, the attendees were able to relate to the principles and readily apply them to their jobs and lives. I highly recommend Dennis and Michelle as speakers on Trust Building.

Teacher. Facilitator. Entertainer. Sage. Confidant. Coach. Dennis Reina has the uncanny ability to fulfill all of these roles when he speaks to a group. Even in a large room, you get the feeling that he is communicating directly with you individually. His energy is infectious, his wisdom inspiring, and his compassion profoundly comforting. Underpinning his approachable and effective style is twenty years of rigorous research into trust in the workplace, how it is built, how it can be broken, and how it can be rebuilt. That rigor provides a solid platform that allows Dennis to customize topics and adeptly adjust his delivery to respond to the energy and needs of people in the room.
