Donna Moore

I moved to Florida 25 years ago, from the upper peninsula of Michigan where I grew up on a large dairy farm just outside of the small town of Stephenson. I have milked more than one cow in my lifetime and admit that I could still call a few cows across a 40 acre field if the need arose. Growing up I was active in my church youth group and a 4-H club, participating in horse shows throughout the summer. Prior to moving to Florida, I had managed a fabric store and then worked as a area director for a fast food company. In 1985 my daughter and I moved to sunny Florida. My career has always been in the service industry, helping others. After moving I stayed in food service for a few years, which included owning my own restaurant, then owning and operating a printing company for many years. I then became a licensed mortgage broker, slowly growing my business through referrals. My first Reverse Mortgage was done for a Tampa, Florida couple trying to exist on a limited income, of which 60% monthly was going to an existing mortgage. When I saw how the federally insured FHA Reverse Mortgage program changed their lives and eased their financial burdens, I realized the value of the program and became determined to bring awareness to as many seniors as possible. For that reason, I am passionate about speaking to groups and organizations and welcome invitations for public speaking. I have spoken to groups about a variety of subjects, not limited to the reverse mortgage. Topics have included improving your credit, home buying and the importance of keeping humor in your life. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family, including 7 grandchildren and an adorable Jack Russell, who is addicted to frisbees, tennis balls and has endless energy for both. My memberships include a church choir, Better Living for Seniors Consortium (BLS), Sunshine City Kiwanis and Toastmasters International through Real Talkers Toastmasters of Clearwater. I have competed in numerous speech contests and won first place in an area Humorous Speech Contest with Toastmasters. I am available for speaking engagements throughout Florida My favorite quote is from Jim Rohn: Whoever renders service to many puts himself in line for greatness great wealth, great return, great satisfaction, great reputation and great joy. I believe we all have the ability to be great and I take pride at providing a great product through my professional expertise.
