Elisabeth Kelan
Expert on gender and generational diversity
Elisabeth Kelan (PhD) is on the faculty of the Department of Management at Kings College London. She teaches Corporate Responsibility, Leadership and Diversity & Inclusion. Prior to this appointment she was Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Women in Business at London Business School and also worked at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Zurich. She received her PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Dr Elisabeth Kelan is a leading scholar on gender and generational relations in organizations. Her research specialism is ethnographic and qualitative research. Her research is published in leading academic journals and edited collections. She also authored a monograph entitled 'Performing Gender at Work'. She is currently working on a second book, which explores how to accelerate the leadership pipeline for women in organizations. Her research was awarded various prestigious prices such as the Emerald Citation of Excellence Award.
She is passionate about sharing academic research with practitioners and regularly gives keynote speeches to private sector and supranational organizations. She is a regular advisor to the United Nations, particularly UN Women, and has advised numerous corporations on their strategies in relation to gender and generations at work.
