Helping genealogy researchers to use and understand new technologies
I give presentations, webinars and classes throughout the year on a wide variety of subjects concerning computers and genealogy. I present monthly computer interest group (CIG) meetings for the Marin County Genealogical Society. I am the Research Director for the Pennington Research Association. I manage the websites and blogs for both organizations.
I have an AS Degree in Administration of Justice from Marin Community College and a BS Degree in Administration of Justice from Golden Gate University.
I am a retired Captain from the San Rafael Police Department. I retired in 1999 after serving 32 years. While there I managed several different sections including Investigations, Patrol and Information Services (radio, communications and technology).
I started my own consulting business in 1999 and offer computer services to small business owners and to individuals. I provide training to groups and individuals for specific genealogy software programs. I provide training on how to use computer and Internet technology as well as tips and tricks to help with your genealogy research.
