Inspiring Audiences to Live Love in the World
|
|
Margot shares in a way that encourages all to accept themselves as God's beloved! She is funny, engaging, and inspiring. She shared with our young teens and had them mesmerized with her message and bag of props. She is fantastic!

Partnering with Compassion International, Red Letter Christians and True Sisterhood, Margot is inspiring audiences to live out love in the world--particularly people of faith who are followers of Jesus. Her favorite audience feedback ever? From a woman in South Carolina, I nearly peed in my pants a couple of times. Seriously. (This absolutely delighted Margot, whos a bit of an entertainer.) Happy clients have included Wheaton College, Urban Promise Ministry Summit, MOPS International, Lifest, Peace College, Friends University & others.
A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and Westmont College, Margot is the author of The Girl in the Orange Dress and Unsqueezed, from InterVarsity Press. Her writing has also appeared in Relevant, Her.meneutics, Neue, Geez, Rev!, MomSense, Adoptive Families and Family Fun.
Margot lives with her family in Durham, NC, and volunteers with Reality Ministries.

I've read your books and seen you speak several times. Always, I'm blown away by your warm and friendly delivery (as if you personally know and love each person in the room) and your willingness to lay bare your oh-so-human and sometimes painful story. And I'm not just inspired in the moment--what you say has changed my perspective and choices for the long-term! Bravo, Margot!

Margot is a "knock-your-socks-off kind of speaker who relates with all audiences. She shows wisdom, compassion, authenticity and passion in what she says and does. She inspires listeners to live more Godly lives, thinking less of ourselves and more of others. She is as joyful as she is inspiring. Can't wait to hear her again at the Summer Gathering for Presby Women, June 9th, at Massanetta Springs, VA. What a treat for the spirit and soul!

Margot and her messages are amazing. At our intergenerational gathering to discuss her book 'Unsqueezed', more adolescent females spoke up then I've ever heard (and I'm the youth minister!). I am so grateful for Margot's fun, thoughtful and authentic way she helps us to better understand our relationships with God,ourselves and each other. I cant wait to hear more from Margot!

Margo’s testimony- in written and spoken word- has, in many ways, changed my life and challenged me to think about the world differently. She has amazing depth and insight and really lives out the truth that she proclaims about God, the poor, and our role as beloved children.
I saw Margo speak at Wheaton College in the Spring of 2010

Margot is funny, energetic, honest. And... she brings props. Something in me felt liberated to inspect the outlandish proportions of a Barbie doll within a group of intelligent, godly women! She takes justice seriously, but not herself—a refreshing and rare combination. And she gives listeners permission to do the same. Her foibles become fodder for deep faith. Above all, she’s a truth-teller.

Margot is such a warm and creative soul. She is dynamic in every way, funny, outgoing, expressive and spirit-filled. She never fails to deliver God's message in a way that somehow touches everyone in the room. We love her so much we just keep asking her back. She walks her talk and clearly loves the Lord. She is dear to us at GCPCPA.

Dynamic, energetic, warm, funny, realistic, and focused - perfect for a women's retreat. Her presence set the tone for the weekend - women shared, connected, and considered the influence of our culture in pressing us into its mold instead of HIS inner shaping that leads to our external choices for life and godliness. Margot also invites us to consider those who are truly in need, truly squeezed into the world's tight corners and offered us the opportunity to connect through giving to Compassion International - thank you Margot for directing us to consider life outside our world.

Margot is instantly likeable and she speaks not only from her heart and own experience, but as a woman who truly loves God, respects Him and has travelled a bumpy road to be able to say that. Love her!
