Dr. Richard Weinblatt is an expert in the area that everyone is captivated by: police and crime. Since 1989, under the moniker of "The Cop Doc," Dr. Weinblatt has explained complex justice and crime topics in understood termse issues including on the Anthony case, Tasers, police pursuits, and use of force, as well as a host of others.
Dr. Weinblatt has an extensive background as an experienced police chief, police academy director, law enforcement officer, law enforcement instructor, criminal justice professor, and public safety educational executive. He has police instructor certifications for pepper spray, firearms, defensive tactics, vehicle operations, and Taser, among others. He is the author of several books including The Cop Doc's Classic Writings on Police Media Relations and Cops and College: Lessons in Professionalism.
Dr. Weinblatt has been interviewed by hundreds of national and local media on police issues including CBS Evening News, CNN, MSNBC, HLN Headline News, The Washington Post, Associated Press, Fresno (CA) Bee, and Orlando (FL) Sentinel.
