I attended a presentation that Simon gave at the North East Expo and was massively impressed with his techniques, insights and the passion for his subject. The presentation provided really useful advice on presentation skills and I can see how Simon could completely change the way people present themselves and their organisation.

Bio
Simon is a speaker and a scientist. That means everything he does, everything he talks about, is based on extensive research... not for him are the simplistic motivational presentations that fire you up but don't tell you how. That doesn't mean hes' not motivational and inspirational, of course, but it does mean that he follows that up with tools, tips and techniques which work and which help you apply what you learn as you listen to him.
On top of that, he's very entertaining!

You get to a point when you think you've heard all there is on a topic, but Simon gave the audience genuinely new and authoritative information. Simon's ideas are rigorously researched but practically delivered and that's what makes his talks so useful

Simon delivered an excellent talk on dealing with the mental toughness and emotional robustness. He addressed many of the "feelings" I had about speaking and presenting. His content was excellent, his delivery was engaging and I was able to make a great deal of notes to improve my skills. Thoroughly entertaining and top quality.

Simon was a superb speaker not solely on the basis of being able to reach out to his audience, but also to maintain their interest with engaging material, which is I might add, some feat particularly in my case!

I saw celebrated speaker and technology evangelist Guy Kawasaki in London a couple of months ago. He was talking about his new book – Enchantment – which is about how to capture and engage an audience. Needless to say, Kawasaki’s presentation was electric. What’s that got to do with Simon? I’ve no idea if he has read Kawasaki’s book or heard the talk, but Simon’s performance at Imperial College in May was straight out of the Kawasaki mould. Simon is engaging from start to finish, peppering his talk with humorous observations and anecdotes that succeed in getting his material across. Like a good stand-up comedian, he interacts brilliantly with his audience, but never once did he make anyone uncomfortable. Oh, and he has great taste in music, judging by what was playing as the audience took their seats. Bravo!

Plain speaking, tons of common sense, insightful and good fun. What more could you wish for?

I've seen you before, some years ago, but you've got even better! Your talks are always really dynamic and motivating, but they also have real content - there are lots of speakers who can enthuse a room, but fewer who leave the audience with real content which helps after the event - you really gave me something to think about.
