The Corps Group
Lessons for the Front Office from the Flight Deck by Military Pilots & Top Execs
|
I would like to add something to my previous review. I booked The Corps Groups, Christine Cashen, Laura Caldwell, and Doc Hendley all from www.seeagency.com for ONE EVENT. See Agency was like a one-stop shop for my speaker needs. I collaborated with See Agency to create a themed event where each speaker emphasized a different facet of leadership for our school administrators. This brought added value for our participants. Working with See Agency's speakers (and leadership team) saved me time and energy while creating a powerful, meaningful conference.

The Corps Group is a team of former military fighter pilots and corporate executives who, through keynote addresses, corporate team building events and executive leadership training, can help your business develop a high performing team culture that generates and maintains superior, measurable results.
After years of extensive training as United States aviators, The Corps Group learned that flying fighter jets also equipped them to be successful in the business world. They found that the processes transitioned from the flight deck to the front office. Their personal experiences in the air and in the executive suite have made them highly sought after speakers, leadership trainers and business consultants.
Our instructors and team members are business executives, who have taken their Navy and Marine aviation training and applied it to their own organizations and careers. Now they are prepared to share with you and your team the very lessons that allowed them to succeed in situations that demanded precision and high level execution.
The Corps Group Difference
Hand picked to fly fighter jets for the military, our team underwent many years of training that qualified them to be responsible for millions of dollars worth of equipment and the lives of their colleagues. Accelerating your R.O.I A.S.A.P.
Weve used our process in many companies and business units with great success. In a recent case study, one company has been using it to weather the economic downturn. Our process has helped them optimize the right internal business processes and become critical partners with their customers. Let us help you implement a strategic planning and execution process that will align your organization, optimize your resources and empower your people to make smarter day-to-day decisions.

Carey "Vixen" Lohrenz and Kyle "Cruiser" Howlin spoke to 300 school administrators at our annual leadership conference. Their engaging presentation was chock-full of information about how to strategically align teams for success. Talk about polished and professional! They had so much information to share with our school leaders - we are already finding ways to bring them back for additional all-day sessions with our leaders so they can dive deeper into their military-based strategies to create winning, effective teams. Both Vixen and Cruiser are caring and sincere & thrive on excellence and helping others reach their full potential. We were fortunate to have them with us. Outstanding people - outstanding presenters.

Over the last year, I have had the opportunity to work with John “Hatch” Borneman on a Sales Transformation Program as a key Cisco Learning Partner on over twenty global programs. There are three things that stand out about Hatch. First, he is an outstanding speaker that is capable of captivating and connecting with global audiences in a way that I have not encountered before. Second, his methodology is solid and works for any team in any industry. Third, his personal style is commanding and the energy level visibly rises when he steps in front of his audience. Hatch is professional yet accessible.

Kyle & Carey did a great job with both a keynote address and a breakout session entitled “Train the Trainer.” What was most important to me was the effort that was made outside of our contract. I had no doubt that the presentations would connect with our membership (this was the second year in a row we had The Corps Group speak). It was the additional effort to meet with our committee on the Saturday before the event and the effort to connect with members after their sessions that was most impressive.
The Corps Group is a first class, customer focused professional group who practice the business principles that they preach. Their positive energy and preparation was a big part in making PMPA’s 50th National Technical Conference one of the best conferences we have ever had.

I have been present for multiple Corps Group keynotes and exercises. After my first experience with The Corps Group, I made a commitment that not only I would attend, but that I would bring employees with me whenever possible to hear their message. The synergy that has resulted between our employees after a Corps Group presentation is unparallelled. Our employees find themselves focused, energized, and aligned with an energy that we have not been able to re-create anywhere else.
I refer to speakers like The Corps Group as "energizers" that keep companies moving forward. TCG has created presentations that not only energize, but create a sustainable thought process that carries on after that "energy" has left: fundamentals. Learning fundamentals from a business person sometimes leaves one wondering if they received true foundation points, or just another person's version. The Corps Group gives solid credibility to the information and processes that they present by drawing parallels between business and military procedures/experiences, two items that many people probably initially misconstrue as unrelated. It is *very* eye opening.
As an example, at our last conference, The Corps Group gave the keynote address. One of my employees was a "first timer" to the conference and I had been forced to use all of my influence as his employer (and some personal guilt!) to get him to attend. By the time lunch and the keynote was over, his attitude had been completely reversed. We intend to continue this trend throughout our company as the opportunities present themselves for more people to have exposure to The Corps Group.
Well done and THANK YOU!

The Corps Group Debriefing Workshop was not just a lecture, but a customized event with hands-on training! The Corps Group helped us to learn how to improve our individual performance and teams’ performance, and how to drive a Culture of Learning and to avoid Task Overload. We were able to learn how Debriefing will help improve communication as information starts to flow more freely.
Your high energy presentation and compelling videos were both interesting, and entertaining – with practical tips and take-away’s. This Debriefing Workshop has given us a better opportunity to understand how the different Business Units work together and communicate.

The session was excellent. It broadened my outlook and perspective on how to approach difficult situations. Previously, I didn't draw any comparisons to military tactics and business. But the mission critical matters, whether they are military operations or business operations, require precise execution. And your seminar helped me understand the discipline that goes behind such precise execution.

The Account Planning framework and training provided by Hatch were very well-structured and precise. It puts sales and cross functional teams on the same page, focusing on the big picture, company's goals and customers' needs. What's really powerful about this process is that it puts in motion pro-active steps towards achieving those long term goals from Day 1. We are already seeing the fruits of this rigorous but much needed training.

Hatch demonstrates the value of planning, execution and debriefing with his inimitable "flyboy" style, engaging the group and keeping them on track.
In the air or on the ground The Corps Groups approach is easy to understand and use as a springboard to sales success.

I've been working with John Borneman “Hutch” for the last couple of months 2010-2011 and must say that the training material was extremely professional and truly relevant to our needs. The sessions improved the team vision, morale with laser focus how to better perform and better achieve the company goals. The team was inspired from the program and was eager to go back and work on the material right after the presentations. Have to say that I’m surprise from the commitment and leadership of Hutch and the rest of the team, truly compelling. For sure we need more speakers like the Corp Group. I strongly recommend using the Corps Group in your organization.

We've been working with the Corps Group since April of 2010. Their knowledge and professionalism in taking the senior leadership of our company and aligning them in the same strategic direction has been very successful. John, Kyle and Carey deliver as promised! We are beginning phase two of our training... taking it to the ground level. Kyle is doing a great job of connecting with our "ground forces" and the enthusiasm I see from the results of our meetings is extremely encouraging. Looking forward to great things in 2011.

I had the opportunity to attend The Corps Group's High Performance Team keynote presented by Kyle and Carey. I also attended a workshop given by John. The enthusiasm, knowledge and professionalism of all three is second to none. The presentation was exciting and relevant to any company that seeks leadership training and strategic guidance. The Corps Group does a unique job at combining its years of strict military flight experience with achieving business success. I would highly recommend The Corp Group to any fast-paced, team driven organization desiring to take its team performance and alignment to the next level. Charles Myers

The event was fantastic from beginning to end... highly recommend these folks! I heard and interacted with Kyle Howlin, Carey Lohrenz and John Borneman and they were all excellent.
The best part of the day was seeing not only the energizing and information-packed keynote but the opportunity to sit down in a small group environment and learn new leadership and strategy techniques from these highly trained individuals.
Their military backgrounds were impressive and you could tell they really know what they are talking about. in addition, I was surprised to see how much real-world business experience they have on top of being former military officers.
And, you can't deny the fighter jet stuff was really cool!
A+ from top to bottom! Hope to see them again soon.

Our Experience with the Corps group was extremely good. The message of fast, concise decision making and business crosschecks is very pertinent with the existing economy, and would certainly be pertinent in boom times as well. They demonstrate the concepts in the same fashion as the topic, pertinent info, not overloaded with stats, and demonstrated in a quick paced , concise presentation

The program has been extremely beneficial to our organization. It takes the decisive, clearly defined direction of the military, and applies it to your organizational plans. The concepts provided let you walk away with very realistic goals and plans to execute both your daily and long term work.
If you are looking for an entertaining, engaging and valuable learning experience, this is worth it. Your team will walk away motivated and excited for the next steps.
