Wendy’s presentation on Using Social Media in the Workplace was an excellent addition to our professional development track at the 2009 Empowering Today’s Accountant Seminar. Too often accountants stay current only on technical issues and neglect the other areas that can improve their businesses. A lot of the new social media options can be intimidating. Her presentation gave us the “why†we need to do this and the “how†to get started. It will be hard for any of us to ignore these social media tools now that we know the numbers and have so many resources available.
